Valentine Hearts

You'll need:
3 prepainted red wood hearts
Masking tape
1/4" drill bit + drill
A ruler
Alphabet Stamp pad
white paint
paper plate or washable surface
(Instead of the drill and masking tape, you can use a glue gun to adhere the ribbon)

Step 1: Mark the location where the hole for the ribbon will go. I like to find the center of the heart and measure one inch down from the point in the heart.

Step 2: Cover the front and back of where the hole will be with a small piece of masking tape. Be sure you can see the mark for the hole through the tape or remark the tape

Step 3: Drill the hole through the heart. The masking tape should keep the heart from 'tearing' when the drill goes through the thin wood.

Step 4: Place a small amount of paint on the paper plate (or other washable surface) and create a thin layer of paint with either your finger or a foam brush.

Step 5: Stamp your letters into the paint and press them on the heart. The paint can get gloppy, so be sure to watch how much paint is on the stamp before pressing it onto the heart.

Step 6: Allow to dry.

Step 7: String your ribbon through the hole and hang!
