Picnic Blanket

I first made this blanket for the Fourth of July. It was perfect then to sit on and watch the fireworks. Since then, we've used them for picnics, playtime in the park, and anytime we are outside and are looking for somewhere to sit, These are so simple to make, I like to have a stack available at our beach house for guests who want to sit outside.

You’ll need
1 yard Poodle Chenille (or other soft fabric)
1 yard oil cloth
Sewing machine + thread

What you'll do
Step 1: Place both fabrics together, the good side facing in.
Step 2: Pin the fabric together so it doesn't slip and stitch around three sides of the fabric.
Step 3: Turn fabric right-side out, so the blanket looks right.
Step 4: On the remaining unsewn side, tuck in 1/2 inch of fabric and iron flat. Repeat on the other fabric
Step 5: Top stictch the final side of the blanket using a small strait edge.
